The Traitors has returned. The new cohort of schemers take part in the ultimate game as history and intrigue collide. Once again, we are glued to our television screens, shouting at the new line up. The contestants once again deliver drama and deceit alongside Claudia Winkleman’s signature fringe, promising another season with plenty of twists and turns. If watching simply isn’t enough and you can’t wait for the next installment, you can now take your Traitors obsession to the next level with a real-life experience at historic Middleton Castle.
The castle has been closed to the public for much of its 600-year history, but now you can live out your Traitors fantasy, staying in the castle itself and playing your game of strategy and suspicion, thanks to our exciting new collaboration with Cloaked Events.
Earlier this year, Cloaked Events hosted its successful inaugural, Traitors-style event at Middleton, creating an immersive weekend of mystery and mind games that left participants questioning who they could and could not trust. The team will deliver an experience tailored to suit each client as you are thrown into a world of deception, suspicion and shifting alliances. The game fosters critical thinking, communication and leadership skills for those who love physical challenges, puzzle-solving and strategy. All this in an environment that combines the castle’s medieval grandeur with the modern thrill of gameplay inspired by the beloved TV format. Visitors can step inside their own world of The Traitors and play the game in this atmospheric Norfolk castle.
“When you are surrounded by candlelight and centuries of history, the tension and excitement of The Traitors game becomes completely real and is very authentic to the show,” says Will Parry co-founder of Cloaked Events. “It’s immersive theatre meets strategy and it’s unlike anything else in the UK right now. We have a range of formats depending on how long people want to play and/or stay, from three to 24 hours for usually somewhere between 12 and 16 players, but we can be flexible depending on the group.”
Guests will explore hidden corners and uncover betrayals, all while staying in the stunning historic castle that has stood since the 15th century. Outside, manicured lawns evoke an Alice in Wonderland charm complete with croquet lawn, ample seating and a tranquil moat complete with swans.
